2012-2013 Season Summary:
23 races completed
(25 scheduled:
2 cancelled,
3 rescheduled)
Season standings are maintained based on results of racers over the entire season
to award competitors for consistently outstanding results in their class,
as well as to award the colored "leader bibs" for the following season
to the top men and women. Season standings are computed using the
"old World Cup" points system, where points are awarded to the top 15 finishers
on a scale of 25, 20, 15, 12, 11, 10, ..., 1.
For 2012-2013,
the season standings are based on your best results in
75% of the races (rounded up).
All races organized by the Far West Masters
on our division schedule will be counted, included any races which are rescheduled
from the originally published schedule or added to the schedule during the season
in response to changing conditions or special opportunities.
See below for details on the season scoring rules.
The 2012-2013 season calendar
had 25 scoring races on the schedule;
2 were cancelled;
3 were rescheduled.
Your best 18 finishes
(75% of 23, rounded up)
were counted towards season awards.
So if you're competing for a season award, you don't have to go to all the races to
have a shot - but the more races you compete in the better your chances
of improving your set of scoring finishes!
