Race Rules Reminders

Yellow flag: if yellow flagged by official, stop as soon as safely possible and follow directions. In the race, return to the start for rerun. During training you may be allowed to proceed, if so directed by official or coach.

No stopping, no hiking. If you miss a gate or come to a complete stop, you're done. Move off to the side of the course and exit the race arena when safe to do so. Follow any instructions from official or course crew.

NO movement in the race venue when racer is on course!

If your run is interfered with, you must stop immediately and request a rerun. Notify nearest official or crew member and follow directions to safely exit the race venue. Check in with the start referee when you return to the start. You must request a rerun from a race official; all reruns are provisional until accepted by the jury.

Inspection: follow all directions from the officials and course crew on inspection procedure. If directed to inspect outside the race line, you may slide in and out to inspect the line but should not slip though the course following the actual race line.

SG and DH races are conducted on a strict time interval between starts; interval will be announced in the race program. You must start at the interval unless directed to hold by the starter.

Start sequence: starter will call 10 sec, count down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Go. When available, a start clock will have audible signal for the start interval. You must start within 5 seconds of the Go command.
