NCAA / RMISA Nevada Invitational Returns to Mt. Rose After 16-Year Hiatus
Far West Masters racers, mark your calendars for late January! The University of Nevada-Reno Wolfpack will host the RMISA Nevada Invitational at Mt. Rose—the first time Nevada has hosted a collegiate race in 15 years and the first Nevada Invitational since 2010.
The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA), founded in 1950, is the premier collegiate skiing conference in the United States, comprising nine member schools including the University of Colorado, University of Denver, University of Utah, and Montana State. RMISA schools have won an impressive 86.8% of all NCAA skiing championships since 1954, making it the most dominant conference in collegiate skiing.
This is Nevada's third season back in competitive collegiate skiing, and having world-class alpine racing back at Mt. Rose is exciting news for the entire Sierra ski racing community. The event offers a great opportunity to watch the next generation of ski racers compete at the highest collegiate level—right in our backyard!
