News Email List
The Far West Masters news email list was opened in the 2010 season so we can send out news updates to members, along with others interested in receiving email messages with news and race updates. All current and recent members who provide email contact information with their Far West Masters membership and indicate email contact is acceptable are automatically added to the news mailing list. If you'd like to be added, send a subscription request to us at newsadmin@farwestmasters.org with your name and email address.
Got News?! If you have information you think is appropriate to post on the Far West Masters news page and circulate to our members, send a message to news@farwestmasters.org. The news list moderators will review your request to ensure that the information provided is appropriate and relevant to our members.
Text notifications
New in 2026: we have a new service this season that allows us to send time-sensitive membership and race information announcements to our members via text messages (SMS) to complement our email mailing list. Many of us these days have mobile phones and use texting already, so joining our Far West Masters texting service makes it easier to get news delivered in a way that’s convenient for you.

Forerunner newsletter
For over 25 years, Far West Masters has published a regular newsletter with news and information throughout the race season. The Forerunner is our premier communication vehicle.
Starting in 2025-26, the Forerunner is moving online to the News section of this site. This lets us post articles and longer announcements more frequently. We will still be sending Forerunner email announcements, and these emails will now contain more embedded content and links to individual stories in the News section.

Social media
We're also on Facebook and Instagram! We know you masters are out there networking on social media sites, so hop on over the Facebook and join our Far West Masters group! It's a great way to connect so everyone can share info, race and travel tips, ask questions, etc. There's also an active US alpine masters group on Facebook, along with Facebook groups formed by many other masters divisions - for a complete set of links visit the usalpinemasters.org Contacts page.
